The official website of the Ao no Orchestra Season 2 (Blue Orchestra Season 2) television anime revealed three additional cast and the first promotional video on Friday. The anime series adapting Makoto Akui‘s musical drama manga is scheduled to premiere on October 5 at 5:00 p.m. on NHK-E.

Rock band Galileo Galilei (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.) is performing the opening theme “Amadeus,” and ChoQMay (Yubisaki to Renren) is performing the ending theme “Ao no Mahou.” Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below.
Seiji Kishi (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) returns to direct the second season at Nippon Animation. Other returning staff include series composer Yuuko Kakihara (Ao no Hako), character designer Kazuaki Morita (Onmyou Kaiten Re:Birth), music composer Akira Kosemura (Honey Lemon Soda), and sound director Satoki Iida (Apocalypse Hotel).
Akui began drawing the manga on the MangaONE application in April 2017 and in Ura Sunday magazine the following month. Shogakukan published the 12th volume on March 12.
