‘Ansatsusha de Aru Ore no Status ga Yuusha yori mo Akiraka ni Tsuyoi no da ga’ Unveils Supporting Cast Pair

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Matsuri Akai‘s Ansatsusha de Aru Ore no Status ga Yuusha yori mo Akiraka ni Tsuyoi no da ga (My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s) light novel revealed the additional pair of cast members on Thursday.

The anime is scheduled to premiere on October 7 at 1:30 a.m. on TV Tokyo, followed by broadcasts on BS Fuji on October 9 at 12:30 a.m. and Animax on October 25 at 11:00 p.m. dAnime Store and Abema will exclusively stream the series in Japan following its TV Tokyo broadcast.

Ayato Morinaga (Übel Blatt) and Masaaki Mizunaka (Aru Majo ga Shinu Made) are joining the cast as Tsukasa Satou and Kyousuke Asahina, respectively.

Nobuyoshi Habara (Soukyuu no Fafner) is directing the anime at Sunrise. Kunihiko Okada (Seiken Gakuin no Makentsukai) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Hirona Okada (Gundam Build Metaverse) and Kaori Saitou (Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo character animation director) are designing the characters. Satoshi Igarashi (Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!) is composing the music.

Akai began writing the action fantasy story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2017. Overlap began printing the series under the Overlap Bunko imprint, with illustrations by Touzai (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!). The fifth volume released in September 25.

A manga adaptation by Hiroyuki Aigamo began on the Comic Gardo website in July 2018. The sixth volume went on sale on February 25.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English. The fourth light novel volume released physically in April 2022, and the fifth manga volume shipped in May 2024. The sixth manga volume will go on sale on November 25.
