
The official website for the television anime of Shougo Imamura‘s Ushuu Boro Tobi-gumi historical novel series unveiled main staff, a supporting pair of cast, first promotional video on Wednesday. The anime, produced by SynergySP, is scheduled to begin airing on January 11, 2026, on CBC and TBS’s nationwide “Agaru Anime” programming block, broadcasting Sundays at 11:30 p.m.
Voice actors Ayaka Miyoshi (One Piece Film: Gold) and Junichi Suwabe (Kingdom) are joining the cast as Fuyuki and Kankurou Ooto, respectively.

Imamura penned the novels, which began publication in March 2017 under Shodensha. The latest volume in the Ushuu Boro Tobi-gumi series, Koi Orochi, was released in March 2022.
A manga adaptation of Hikuidori, drawn by Shinobu Seguchi, began serialization in the Weekly Shounen Champion magazine in Spring 2025 and the second volume was released on November 7.
