The official website for the television anime adaptation of Alto‘s Mikata ga Yowasugite Hojo Mahou ni Tesshiteita Kyuutei Mahoushi, Tsuihou sarete Saikyou wo Mezashimasu (The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest) light novel unveiled three additional cast members, a second key visual (pictured), and the second promotional video on Thursday. The anime premiered on October 4 at 11:30 p.m. on TV Asahi’s IMAnimation programming block, followed by BS Asahi and AT-X, and streaming on ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Houdai.

Ken Takahashi (Ragna Crimson) is directing the anime at Studio Gekkou with Masamune Hirata (Ragna Crimson episode director) serving as assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Shangri-La Frontier) is handling the series composition, and Youko Satou (Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou.) is designing the characters. Tsubasa Takada and KOUICHI are composing the music.
Alto originally began penning the adventure fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2020. Kodansha began publishing the series under its K Ranobe Books label in August 2021, featuring illustrations by Yuunagi (Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki). The fifth volume went on sale last August.
Yuki Monji began serializing a manga adaptation on the Magazine pocket app and website in July 2021. Kodansha published the 17th volume on October 9.
Kodansha’s K Manga service publishes the manga in English.
