The official website of the Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei: Seisankei Majutsu de Na mo Naki Mura wo Saikyou no Jousai Toshi ni (Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City) television anime revealed additional cast, ending theme, second key visual (pictured), and a third promotional video on Saturday.
The anime series adapting Mitsuru Inoue‘s isekai fantasy light novel is scheduled to premiere on January 10 at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11, followed by Sun TV, AT-X, and Tochigi TV. Amazon Prime Video will stream the episodes three days earlier than the television broadcast, starting on January 7.

Tetsuya Tatamitani (Thermae Romae Novae) is directing the anime at NAZ. Yutaka Yasunaga (Slime Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level Max ni Nattemashita script) is handling the series composition and Kana Utatane (Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi) is composingt he music.
Inoue began penning the fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2020. Overlap began publishing the series under its Overlap Novels label in September 2021, featuring illustrations by Kururi. The eighth volume shipped on August 25, with the ninth volume scheduled for release on December 25.
Maro Aoiro began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo website in August 2021. Overlap published the seventh volume in April 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel and manga adaptation in English in March 2023. The sixth light novel volume is scheduled to be released on January 6, 2026, and the sixth manga volume went on sale on November 25.
