Production company Aniplex opened an official website for the television anime adaptation of Needy Girl Overdose visual novel revealing production staff, announcement promo, and a key visual (pictured). The anime adapting Xemono’s visual novel will air in April 2026.

Created by Xemono and developed by WSS Playground Needy Girl Overdose is a management simulation game which was initially released on Steam for Microsoft Windows and macOS in January 2022, and later on Nintendo Switch in October the same year. Alliance Art Inc. released the game on PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5 on January 21. NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE has over 3 million downloads across all platforms.
The Internet Overdose theme song for the game was released in April 2021, and Internet Yamero sequel song was released in March 2022. Both can be streamed on Spotify.
Synopsis
Needy Streamer Overload is a “multi-ending adventure” depicting daily life with “OMGkawaiiAngel-chan,” a young girl with a rather extreme need for approval attempting to become the #1 “Internet Angel” (streamer). Gradually build up OMGkawaiiAngel-chan’s number of followers as she spends her days streaming, using various “stress relievers,” and generally being kinda messed up.
