World Chain, the L2 network that supports the World ecosystem, has adopted Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard. This step allows users to move WLD across chains while developers can build applications that use these cross-chain features.
The CCT standard, integrated with CCIP, provides a framework for token issuers to connect their assets across different blockchains in a straightforward way. With this addition, WLD can now operate on multiple networks with consistent functionality.
World Chain has also implemented Chainlink Data Streams, a data solution that supplies high-frequency financial market data with sub-second latency. This service allows decentralized applications on World Chain to access reliable price information and use it in trading, lending, and other DeFi activities.
