Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G. have confirmed that their upcoming game, Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, has exceeded 200,000 global pre-registrations, marking another step forward for the game’s launch. This announcement follows recent promotional updates including the debut of the game’s main trailer, key visuals, and detailed information about gameplay and characters.

To commemorate this milestone, players will receive 1,000 Dimensional Crystals upon launch, an in-game currency that can be used for various purchases and upgrades. Pre-registration rewards will continue to scale as more users sign up globally. At 500,000 pre-registrations, additional characters and premium in-game items will be unlocked, including the playable ★4 character [Aiming for Greater Heights] Mina Ashiro. The game previously exceeded 100,000 pre-registrations on April 25.

ATLUS and SEGA have officially revealed a new trailer and details about Persona 5: The Phantom X, the latest title in the Persona 5 series. Most notably, the companies confirmed that the English version of the game will launch the same time as Japan, on June 26, 2025.

Just a month after Ubisoft successfully dismissed a case against it over alleged Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) violations, Bandai Namco Entertainment America (BNEA) is next to be sued in a VPPA class action lawsuit filed on May 7. If the plaintiffs win their case, BNEA would pay at least $2,500 in damages for every person aggrieved by its actions, plus possible punitive damages, likely to all run into the millions of dollars. BNEA did not respond to a request for comment before this article’s publication.

ATLUS and PC hardware manufacturer HYTE have announced a collaborative line of PC components and peripherals themed after Metaphor: ReFantazio. The collection includes a custom computer case, keycap set, desk pads, a wall scroll, and a keychain, all of which are available for pre-order starting today through HYTE’s website and select retailers.

Blizzard Entertainment has expanded its recently announced Diablo and Berserk crossover with a music collaboration featuring Finnish heavy metal band Beast in Black. The band has released a new original track, “Enter The Behelit,” obviously inspired by Kentaro Miura’s legendary dark fantasy manga Berserk and Blizzard’s popular RPG franchise.
