The Apothecary Diaries Light Novel Reveals Volume 16 Cover Illustration

The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) revealed the cover illustration for Volume 16 of the light novel series, which is set to release on May 30, 2025. There will also be a limited edition bundle with an illustration scenario booklet of the anime’s first season, which will be available for pre-order on April 19th. The light novel series is written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Toko Shino.

Classroom of the Elite Year 3 novel series has revealed a trailer narrated by Akari Kito, introducing the novel ahead of the release of Volume 1 on March 24. This will be the final year for Ayanokoji and his classmates, with some major changes in each of the classes.

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Honami Ichinose from Classroom of the Elite will be featured on the cover in the May 2025 issue of Monthly Comic Alive by KADOKAWA. The light novel series’ artist Shunsaku Tomose illustrated the visual, while the release date is set for March 27, 2025.

In the magazine, two manga adaptations are ongoing: Classroom of the Elite by Yuyu Ichino and Classroom of the Elite Year 2 2nd Stage by Hachi Komada.

Classroom of the Elite Year 3 light novel series has been officially announced, with the release date set for March 24, 2025. Kiyotaka Ayanokoji will be entering his third and final year at the Advanced Nurturing High School along with his classmates. In addition, it was announced that the Year 3 website will launch in February.

Together with the first volume of the Year 3 novel, the Year 2 Official Guidebook will also launch on March 24.

A new way to read light novels has now come to the West. Shogakukan, one of Japan’s biggest publishing houses, has launched its new digital novel service, NOVELOUS. Currently, the service includes over 80 multi-genre titles such as Shouji Gato & Range Murata’s Cop Craft: Dragnet Mirage Reloaded and Yume Mizusawa & Ayumu Kasuga’s Gonna be the Twin-Tail!! and Yomi Hirasaka & Kantoku’s Salad Bowl of Eccentrics. The app and website allow users to rate and give their impressions of the different titles. The vertical scrolling stories also include character bubbles to indicate which character is talking.

Ao Jumonji, the creator of the Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash light novel, has begun a new series. The new novel is titled Sengoku Nehan, and it features illustrations by Mikio Masuda (artist for Dual Masters, Vanguard). It is serialized under BookBase’s Dangan Bunko imprint, with Otaku Pengin (@NovelPengin) as the editor.
